Black Soot, Walnut Stain, Tea Dye, Fired Brick, Spiced Marmalade and Peeled Paint.
If you can stretch to two more, get Mustard and Broken China.

Re: Which colours distress inks
thanks lou. those are some of the ones i was thinking of. guess i know a little more than i thought. lol
i did think of getting primary colours and then sepia, natural. so that selection works.
thanks alot.
i ordered: broken china, spiced marmalade, tea dye, walnut stain, peeled paint and fired brick. they didn't have on the list black soot or (plain) mustard.

I wouldnt buy the new pastel colours - I would also avoid tattered rose, all for the same reason, they are way too pale to use and never show up.

It's actually called Mustard Seed, Jane. Don't know why they don't have Black Soot, it was there the other day.
I have Tattered Rose and have used it for distressing in the past but it is very pale. However, if you plan on painting with your pads, the tattered rose is great for skin tones.

That's what I've got keep - rusty hinges - and nothing to do
