Gift Tags (image heavy)
Here are some gift tags I have been making today, the lady in the shop I am selling my cards wants me to make them and she can purchase off me to add to her gift wrapping, I have put a few on, can I ask what you think?, she wasnt sure what she wanted some generic and some for birthdays etc so I hav done all different sizes, shapes and occasions.
The big question what do I charge? I have done a bit of research and I cant see people buying for more than 35p? However normal ones are this price, and I would like to think these are a bit more personal etc, but dont want to outprice myself. I was thinking of selling to the shop to buy in bulk at 4 for £1, my husband think this is too cheap, but I also want to let her know I am doing them at a good price for her as I am not paying anything to sell my cards in her shop as yet, we are just going to see how it goes!

Some pretty ones there Emma.
Price? Difficut to know really, bearing in mind she will have to add more on. I would say maybe the small slightly plainer ones you could do 4 for a pound but the fancier ones with more embellishments, like the heart and the butterfly charm one, 3 for a pound. Then keep an eye on how much she charges for them.

yes i agree with di ,some of those are worth far more than the 4 for £1 .
i would do some 4 for £1 as you said and then 4 for £1.50 ish for the fancier ones .
well done on this ,its a great ego boost for you

Wow you have been busy. I haven't a clue on price, its years since I bought a tag. Think its been said on the prices hun, hope you get it sorted. Just think about the time its taken to make them though. If you are selling at roughly 25p she is likely to add double I reckon. Might be worth asking her to make an offer and see what she comes up with. If its too low you have this price as a guide. If her offer is higher then you better off all round.

I reckon you want at least 30p each for these, it depends on her mark up of course, but make sure you're using scraps as this won't make you any profit. They are so much nicer than your average tag, I'm sure they'll be popular.

They are lovely. I would ask the higher price to start with - you can
always lower it if necessary, whereas it's had to start off low and
then put it up.
Lets face it, we crafters never get paid for work that we should
get paid. The time we put in makes sure we get paid far too less.
