Steampunk!
Rosie got a new book called Steampunkery by Cristie Friesen. She is a polymer clay artist. Anyway as Rosie is quite into Steampunk we had a go.
In the book there was a watch with a goblin squashed inside which was fab, but it was a guest artist and no instructions to be found anywhere I did try to make a wee person to go in my watch but gave up,lol.
The kids did a little critter that CF showed in her book and I just did a floral theme.
Rosie made a lizard focal bead too., this actually needs some patina put on so its not quite finished but thought I'd show you anyway. Oh and the kids haven't put their straps on yet.
Rosies watch
Focal bead
Will's watch
My watch was very fiddly and took me ages, there are leaves a 'leather strap and a flower
and with strap made from grunge board

Re: Steampunk!
New to me - probably what the kids would love to do.
Really strange actually, because I dreamt last night I was wearing
a pink watch aand it had loads of tiny sequins and things in it.
I don't think I made it though. LOL

Re: Steampunk!
not sure what steampunk is, but well done to them and you anyway.
'fraid Lorraines watch is up there on my pedestal and for me, nothing will ever come close to that.

Re: Steampunk!
Steampunk is sort of a modern Victorian look, just google it you will all see. Involves a lot of watch parts and metal bits, lol. Your watch is kind of Steampunk too Maria and is totally different to these as these are all clay inside. WE had a bit of a disaster with them as when we tried to wear them they steamed up! Anyway took them apart and popped them back in the oven for a bit and they seem ok now, doh!
Re: Steampunk!
They're brilliant!!

No, I'm not putting my 'to do' list here, that would be far to organised, PLUS I would have to keep it up to date
