Zentangle Swap
I was feeling a little 'stifled' creatively, and whilst wandering around the web, found Zentangles. Apparently they are all the rage, so I'm obviously a bit behind the times.....no matter. The girls and I had a go last night, and found them totally addictive, so we thought we would like to organise a swap.
The kit required is minimal; a black pen and some white card; and the plan for this swap is to make them ATC sized (2.5 x 3.5 inches).
There are loads of sites out there that explain what they are...
http://zentangle.com/about-what-is--1.php (click on the newsletters to see loads of different patterns, you do not need to spend $40 on a kit from the US!!)
and we particularly liked this one http://www.squidoo.com/how-to-zentangle which shows you how to get started.
Basically there are no 'right' or 'wrong' zentangles, as long as you use a black pen, and possibly a pencil. (No rubber stamping or computer generated stuff here girls!). Here are the ones we made.
So, for the swap, you need to make four zentangle ATC's.. Get them to me by Saturday 25th September with some return postage, and I'll swap them about for you. Any questions, please shout!

No, I'm not putting my 'to do' list here, that would be far to organised, PLUS I would have to keep it up to date
Re: Zentangle Swap
Ooh these look fun Tina. I'll have a go. I've never heard of
them, but are right up my street.

...well we 'bent' the rules for someone else recently; don't see why she can't join in with this one; it's perfect for people who have very little stash!

Quite agree - it's not as if we don't know Lindy - she's not a total
stranger so don't see why she can't join in, but up to Tina and Lorraine.

they are supposed to be particularly good for hospital waiting rooms, where you can't do a lot else

Whoopsie so she did
they turned out ok, but need a finer pen for work because the one I took is far too thick!
Re: Zentangle Swap
Weren't you supposed to be WORKING, sweetheart?!
Oh. I know - you were multitasking, right?! No worries about computer ones from ME. I wouldn't be able to FIND any!

Re: Zentangle Swap
Finished my first one this morning and am very pleased with it.
I think the hardest thing is getting started. Once you have your
basic shape it's good fun filling the gaps in.

Re: Zentangle Swap
I'm interested in this too. Not something I am good at, drawing or doodling but will have a go. Question though. That second site says to leave a border round the edge and also that you should use a pencil. Do we do both, or are we using a pen. I know your post says pen, but thought I'd best check after reading the site.
