Maria's recent works (image heavy and a bit poignant)
Well ive been busy lately with scrapping, and having scrapped that first one of Twiz, once I started I couldnt stop.
Here are some I did on my recent retreat:
well, on this one the paper scrapped itself, but ironically the story on the paper is of the princess and the frog who turned into a prince. You've seen the pics before, they were taken on my birthday 2010, a month before he died.
next up is this one, tears were shed. It was a scraplift from one in a magazine, and the journalling is on a tag on the back, well at least its going to be. Havent been able to bring myself to do it yet, but this was Twiz at his happiest
Heres one I started at the atdml retreat in November and have only just finished. It was Suzanne Torr's class, I think Kim knows her and you may remember Pattys from the same class
Heres a total papercraft one done today. V pleased with this especially the flowers. pic was at yellowstone in 2001 a few days before we got married (which was on our 10th anniversary)
and finally, from 1995, this is he tearful one. I remember it all like it was yesterday.I can almost hear him singing and talking.
well, thats me all scrapped out - thanks for looking and dont feel you have to comment on them all, I just wanted to show you

Aw - what lovely LOs.
I have the top paper - well I did, I used it on the wedding album.
Still got lots of the rest of the pad left.
I think you've made a lovely job of these and adore the ones with
the flowers.

Maria, very very well done, I am so pleased that you have been able to scrap these; progress indeed.
Actually, just looking at them as being LO's, without knowing how special they are (and how hard it will have been for you to sit and make them), they're a cracking set of pages too! Loving all that close-up photography.

No, I'm not putting my 'to do' list here, that would be far to organised, PLUS I would have to keep it up to date
Re: Maria's recent works (image heavy and a bit poignant)
absolutely stunning maria ,all of them . lots of little bits i aprticularly like ..ie *the knots in the ribbon and the zipper on the bottom one
*also love the way you have done the journalling on that one too.
*love the cut out shape and inked edges on the "memories " one ,also the hatpins .
*on the 3rd one down i love all the layering of bits in bottom corner AND i even like the butterfly
*the beach boy one i can almost feel the heat of the sun with the fiery colours you have used .on it ,is that twiz in the sea in the distance ?
*top one , well the title just made me gulp and a lump in my throat. ((xx))

Re: Maria's recent works (image heavy and a bit poignant)
Don't give us that don't have to leave a comment malarky, we all want to hear what people think of our LO's, and these are top notch.
I love the close ups too, I must try that, although I'm not sure what of, I'll have to use some gorgeous beads like you did.
No rush to write that journalling Maria, you'll do it when you're ready. I'm about ready to add some on one about my dad and my DH, who both did very similar jobs in the forces. I did one a month or so ago at a crop and shed a few tears, didn't realise I'd got mascara all over my face unti I got home though, doh.
Liking the bling and the flowers on these, good work, all of them.
