My latest project (morning version)
This is the second top I have made for myself; the first one is the same design, but a white fabric with large navy blue and green flowers on. Having measured myself for the first top, I had obviously 'changed shape' between cutting out initially and actually finishing it, as it is a little voluminous . So, being brave, I cut this one a whole size smaller.
I have some more fabric; purple this time, so there will be a third one in due course.

No, I'm not putting my 'to do' list here, that would be far to organised, PLUS I would have to keep it up to date

Like that style, Tina - and hope you took a scan of the fabric before you cut it up, as it would make a great background paper!

Fabulous job - you really are widening your talents.
Mm - who does the trike belong to in the background.
Looks a tad small for anyone in your household.

Who's a clever bunny then. You're getting quite prolific with your stitching now Tina and you look great in this top.

Re: My latest project (morning version)
What a great top lovely for the summer, I tried my hand at making a pair of cami knics and the same thing happened with them, way to big, even though I followed the pattern exactly.

Way to go Kim, can't wait to see what you make! I got my patterns from Butterfly Fabrics in Cardiff when we went there for my birthday (and was shocked at the price of them!). Sew Today magazine 'membership' allows you to buy all your patterns at half price; the magazine itself is really only a showcase for current and future patterns, so the girls over at the Sewing Forum aren't major fans; but if like me you don't have the luxury of a nice shop to sit in and browse the pattern books, actually it's a good odea; I am about to sub and get two free patterns.

Lovely top and lovely photo. Glad you are enjoying the sewing. I am about three quarters done on a quilt for my friend's new grandson and am quite pleased with it so far.

Re: My latest project (morning version)
I used to do dressmaking all the time and loved it. I'm getting a bit inspired here too so may have another go soon.
Only problem is, my machine won't do buttonholes anymore. The darned lever won't work.

Re: My latest project (morning version)
Lorraine, can you get spares?
I haven't even attempted buttonholes yet, although my machine does one-step! Being as tall as I am, it's great to have clothes that are actually long enough for a change, I hate not meeting in the middle.
Nearly finished the purple version, then it's operation 'tackle that jersey top' . It's a halter neck though, so will need to go bra shopping as well. (Some people, apparently, make their own bras and knickers! Can't see the point myself, when M&S do it so well ).
