FEBRUARY 2012 - FLOWERS

February's swap is flowers.

You are to each make 3 flowers or blossom type things. They must be handmade. You can use any technique or materials you like..fabric, dies, freehand...whatever, but no shop bought ones.

Flowers to me by Friday 24th February.

I shouldn't think there are any size guidelines, Karelyn - sounds like a take-it-as-it comes sort of construction!

I do worry though Lynda, I don't want to make half inch things if others are making 2" or make 5" either if that's going to be too big.

If it's any help at all, mine will be about 2.5" across the middle!

I am going to research a flower technique someone told me about last year and have a go over the weekend... if it works then I will join!

I reckon 2 to 3 inches should be fine. Not too big, not too small.

Errrr gonna wait till after weekend to decide. Need to get sorted with workshops first.

Not sure that mine will be 2", Lorraine: I tend to do ones that you can group together or use as a single accent on a card with other things "going on" iyswim. Guess it will come down to which of us scraps and which makes cards.

Put me down Lorraine but like Lynda mine wont be 2"-3" I'm afraid much to big 11/2" will be about biggest is that okay??

Remember though girls, although you may be a cardmaker, your flowers may go to a scrapbooker and vice versa.

as a scrapper and cardie i would not mind what size but for cardies only id imagine smaller is better then again ive used huuuuge flowers on cards and not much else . does that help with any size queries .............thought not !!

I've just got some of Steph's dies which might come in v handy here :)

Larger Flowers can be the central focus on a card, I've done that a few times. having said that don't know about you lot but I very rarefly use swapped stuff....it just seems wrong LOL. I would probably keep them on my desk shelf and stick them on the side so I can see them all the time. LOL

Ahhh go on then, please can you add me to the swap please hun. Hopefully my idea will work out, otherwise hmmm we'll see. LOL

Been umming and aahing about this too but saw something last night that I might have a try at, have got something else if doesn't work out so add me too please Lorraine.

Oh I have got in a quandry, I had one idea in my head now I have three or four, and three flowers don't seem enough
