Re: Heat Embossing on Dry Embossing.
I started with plain white card. Sprayed different colours on it then dryed it.
Dry embossed a Sizzix Leaf brass stencil by putting it through my Wizard. Then wet embossed the leaf.
Turned the sheet over and used a Fiskars (blue) embossing plate and hand embossed the swirls avoiding the leaf.
Used a Gold ink pad to wipe over the raised swirls.
I wish I had used a darker shade of embossing powder on the leaf though.

That's really lovely, Nona. I like the colour of the leaf, it stands out well but blends beautifully too.
Maria...how clever are you then? Both you and Patty should have put all that in another technique thread. It's excellent. Well done both of you. I'm impressed.

Lorraine I think this is a super idea of having a regular 'Different Techniques' thread running on here.
Will you be making a new thread for each technique?
I think it would be easier for us to find them if we wanted to refer back to a particular method.
I am going to have another go at this one as I spoilt one on my 2nd attempt, too impatient to make sure it was dry first.

Lorraine wrote:Hmmmm, actually, I think I'll do a new forum for this. Each technique can have its own thread and then, if any of you have a go, you can post your work in the relevant thread.
There ya go, Nona.

Thanks Lorraine for explaining over the phone to me the words 'New Forum' as I didin't realise it was our exising 'front page index' I thought you were going to start a brand new web site for it. Well that didn't make sense to me, no wonder.
I wonder if I tried to read sideways like the Chinese I might get it right? Next time.

You get to have Nona all to yourself most of the time.
Sure you don't mind us hogging her a bit.
