Question for Lorraine - or anyone who might have this die Empty Question for Lorraine - or anyone who might have this die

Post by lyndaejane Sat 11 Oct 2014 - 12:54

You probably don't remember, Lorraine, but a couple of years ago you sent me some die-cuts and this was amongst them:

Question for Lorraine - or anyone who might have this die Lorrai10

Apologies for background - just grabbed the nearest dark paper and it was the flap I'd cut off an envelope.

Is this a normal die, Lorraine, or was it one of your Craft Robo die-cuts? I'm looking for corner dies that have an Art Deco look, for the wedding stationery I'm making, and this is one that seemed to fit the bill. I'm planning to send Laura and Alex some pictures of dies they might like, but really need to know if this is a die or not.

Thanks.

Lynda

Possibly a cheery Lynn die, she does some decorative corners

It's a die Lynda. I'll see if I can get to my stuff and let you know what it is.

Not sure you'd want to cut them, Lorraine: I shall need at least 440! However, in order to show to Laura and Alex and see if they like any of the designs, would you be able to cut me one each of the top left, the one immediately to the right of that, and the one below the middle of those two, please? Thanks a lot.

I have another three if you want to see anymore? I thought you were using the C&C new ones or is that for something else?

Thanks very much, Ruth, yes, please: am trying to (mentally) collect as many as I can so I can show them a selection. You do remember right: I'm hoping they might like the C & C ones (even though I think they're Nouveau and not Deco), the added advantage being that you get two corners with it, so only half as many passes through the die-cutter!

Thanks, Ruth: will keep these in mind as well. The bottom one is nice and minimal, if you know what I mean, as I'm thinking it could look a bit cluttered based on what they've chosen so far.

LOL at Kate!

Hate to use the word, but have you thought about using peel-offs Lynda? Might be a bit easier.... and they don't have to be gold or silver

Wash your mouth out, Tina! In any case, not possible because the die-cuts will be oyster card on oyster card (or whatever colour we end up with) and I don't think I'd get those unmentionable things in that colour.

In the post hun, along with a couple of others.

Was thinking about a way to help you...if you like a die, you can borrow mine instead of buying one (unless of course you want to own one, which you probably do, lol) or, if you buy one, I can also lend you mine so you can cut 2 at a time, so only 200 cuts instead of 400. Mr Green

Die-cuts arrived today: thankyou so much, Lorraine, but you shouldn't have spent money on First Class postage - naughty girl! Thanks also for the offer of borrowing a die, very kind of you: will see what Laura and Alex pick and will take it from there. Still keeping fingers crossed for the C & C ones!

Lorraine: this is the die-cut they have chosen for the invitations:

Question for Lorraine - or anyone who might have this die Corner10

I have bought the set (think I might have got the last one in the country - couldn't find anyone except Maddylisa selling this set and mine was the last one she had), but you did offer to lend me your die as well so that I could cut two at a time - is that still OK? Latest estimate is 564 corners, so I could be tied up for a while!
