Chocolate Malteser Cake

How to make chocolate malteser cake:

Quantity

Ingredients
85g (3oz) Butter
2 tbspn Golden syrup
2 tbspn Cocoa powder
170g (6oz) Digestives, crushed
1 x 175g Bag Maltesers, half crushed & half left whole

Method
1. Melt the butter and golden syrup in small heavy base saucepan.
2. Stir in the cocoa powder, digestives, and crushed Maltesers until well combined.
3. Allow to cool slightly, then stir through the whole Maltesers.
4. Line a 1lb Loaf tin with Clingfilm, pour in the mixture and press
down well, but be careful not to crush the whole Maltesers.
5. Chill until set. About 2 hours
6. Slice the chocolate malteser cake into chunky fingers and serve.

The recipe sounds fab though! I don't know if I'd be able to resist it for 2 hours while it sets!

I wouldn't be allowed it. Mind you, sounds sickly, but I used to
love Maltesers, and if ever my sugars go low, that's what I
normally have to boost them up.

I don't make it in a loaf tin, just a square one.

Sounds lovely. I also like mars bar cake which is melted mars bars mixed with rice crispies, put in a tin and leave to cool. Yum but very sticky.

Now, I just happen to have a large bag of Maltesers in my fridge, and I could, at a push, make this delish sounding cake.

But....the maltesers are going to bed with me tonight, so the cake'll have to wait. :P
