Re: COPICS AND PROMARKERS.
My card came this morning, beautiful and smooth so will have a play when I get a chance, probably not until Thursday (work, some emulsion to put on when I get back and then a friend visiting tomorrow) now. Also got the memento ink.

Re: COPICS AND PROMARKERS.
My markers have been shoved in a tin and my 'pretty' stamps and concord card in a drawer and that's where they can damned well stay. I've wasted enough time and money on them.
Four days and every different kind of cardstock I possess. The nearest I got to success was with my Epson Ink Jet paper. Maybe I'm just being too 'perfectionist'..I don't know.
Can you tell I'm very, very peed off with these?
Di, I'm almost loathe to ask exactly what card you got and from where in case I'm tempted to waste even more money, but when you've tried it and if it works, please let me know. Everywhere I tried for Memento ink was OOS but the Impress does work well. In fact, it's the only thing that has worked.

Re: COPICS AND PROMARKERS.
Got my inks from Inkylicious from £3.50 for the large memento pad (bought black one and green one) also bought couple of distress ones to try and some cut and dry stamp foam, so all equipped! Great service, ordered Saturday night and they were delivered yesterday.
Will tell you were paper from if it works lol.

Re: COPICS AND PROMARKERS.
Well. Thanks to Kate for sending me some of the card she uses. I thought I was in with a chance, but no...I still got bleeding.
I'm wondering if it's me that's at fault? I was really light handed this aft' and in some places, only just touched the pen to card, but still I didn't get the perfect results I'm after.
So, what do I do with all these images I've coloured? Bin the lot...along with the pens or make cards out of them and hope none of you look too closely if you get one?

Re: COPICS AND PROMARKERS.
well i know nothing about promarkers or copics, and possess neither BUT I have just read in the craft stamper that Stazon shouldnt be used with them because the two solvents react against each other.....
I dont know if you are using satzon or not, but if the above is true, then its feasible that whatever you are using to stamp the outlines is reacting with the colour.
Ruth must know the answer to this surely?

Re: COPICS AND PROMARKERS.
Lou... Is there any chance your just being too much of a perfectionist........ I mean that very first picture you showed us was really well done & looked spot on!!
Or you could send a facebook msg to Sharon Armstrong who runs the I Love Promarkers group as she seems to be the expert (think she's done articles on using promarkers in magazines) for advice.
And if all else fails & you can't stand the sight of them, tell us what colours you've got & maybe some of us on here can buy the markers of you so that you haven't wasted all that much money!

Re: COPICS AND PROMARKERS.
I am using the correct inkpad, Maria. I know Stazon is no good, so Mememto or Impress are the ones to use and I have Impress. It's not the ink from the stamping that's bleeding, it's the promarkers themselves.
Kate, you may well be right. I'm expecting too much, lol but I just think that ANY amount of bleed looks bad, 'cause it looks like you can't colour in the lines, lol.
I'm loathe to join another group/forum too, especially one for things I can't darned well do.
I'll upload a pic later so you can see.

Re: COPICS AND PROMARKERS.
Here you go. Now, I know it looks OK, but when you look close you can see the bleed. Image is a bit blurry here 'cause it wasn't big enough for enlargements really, but you can see what I mean...especially round the bird. I find small areas a real nightmare.

Re: COPICS AND PROMARKERS.
See I'd be more than over the moon if one of mine came out like that Lou!
I also find really fiddly bits so hard to do with the pens that I've come to expect a little bleed. What I do however is using the fine end I lightly dot/dab the pen, hardly even touching the tip to the page & build up the ink in the really tight spaces that way. Hope that makes some sense!
