Don't fret Karin, darling girl, you will be absolutely FINE FINE FINE!! As Steph says, we are all in the same boat and if we are all truthful, the reason we are meeting up for this retreat is that we all love each other and want to get together and natter!!! One glass of good red and you will be right as rain. Here's a big dose of brightsiding winging its way to you!!! QUESTIONS - Page 10 342857

Post by karinlouise Mon 5 Apr 2010 - 10:14

thanks you two, honestly though I am fine, I am so so excited to be going to this retreat. Have been saving like mad to make sure I can pay for it all and talking non stop. I do fret about doing things for other people, but over the years of being on here I have come to accept more and more that what I do is different to everyone else, and that not everyone will like my take on things. I have gained quite a bit of confidence through having this family here. Its just the non-crafters I have to worry about QUESTIONS - Page 10 Lol .

Proper Question now though, cos I can't remember seeing it.

Asking Kim as she's more knowledgeable on this place: Is there a petrol station near to the Premier Inn. Does the Tesco have one attached.

Thanks

Exactly - - we are having a get together to meet etc and
the crafting is a bonus. We can craft all the time at home - we can't
meet each other every day.

I have card that is a similar thickness to mountboard, the only problem is I don't have a trimmer that will cut anything that thick, does anyone have anything that cuts mountboard?

LOL yeah sod em Mr Green

I use my knife to cut a lot of thicker stuff. Much easier. I am itching to start putting stuff together, but want more time when Lily is away so I can concentrate better. I can't rem who is bringing what anyway, so need my list to hand when I go through the threads Mr Green

My guillotine might do it, though its been a bit of a so and so too.

A craft knife will cut through mountboard, but it's a lot of work. I've got a mountboard cutter somewhere: have added it to the list of things to bring so will have to find where it is!

QUESTIONS - Page 10 Empty Re: QUESTIONS

Post by karinlouise Wed 7 Apr 2010 - 11:52

Haha, its about the only thing Steph.

Actually I'll own up. I only saw it last night as I was going through my paperwork, getting it all together. Realised I am paying £1 a night more than quoted for the room, though not bothered I don't know why...presume its cos I am in room on my own.

Its also when I realised that as breakfast is on the room costs, I only need to have cash for the evening meal. And as its one price we won't have to dig around for individual totals, we'll all just put money in the pot as it were.

I think I did that too, it's so long ago now, I've forgotten. I know it's booked. I've ticked it on Kim's instructions sheet.
Just found it and printed it off. No Breakfast booked, Helen, you might want to book yours, I'll be ok with a cuppa and a cereal bar.

Ok another Question from me Mr Green

On the stash baggie and card kit do we put our names on the bags so the recipient knows where it came from. Then we can see what's been created with our stash. OR.... do we leave names off so its a total secret.
