I utterly adore this page.... the crackle looks good enough to eat, like that peanut brittle stuff, and I love the way the text peeps through. You are so talented.

Ive GOT to do one of these books.

When you do a page like this how do you stop yourself wanting to fill the whole book with them right now ?

This is amazing, every time i peek at it i see something different or it makes me think of something different....for example...the seagulls remind me of a time when Stephen )aged 17) was a baby and we had a Turkish man (student at local college) lodging with us...for money of course.....

He spoke only one word of egnlish on his arrival...'hello' and when he left a year later..he could thrash me at scrabble and passed all his exams (according to him...it was my success not his) i worked onhis converstaional english, read to him, listened to him read, talk etc..corrected his spelling and grammar and punctuation...and we shared a book about a seagull called Jonathan...i now need to find this book as i cannot remember anything about it and at the time it was so inspiring...about freedom etc and perceptions of situations.

cor heck...dont i go on..sorry...now look what u started Lorraine. Very Happy

i also have spent 3 days looking on internet during lunch (duty in ICT room)and after school searching ART JOURNALS..printed out shed loads of stuff...

Im sure thats the one you mean Goaty, you've described it to a tee. There was a Neil Diamond song about it too.

Well, I'm not a lover of Neil Diamond, but that is quite beautiful. For me at present, very poignant lyrics. I love it. Words on a page that speaks of a theme...I've got my headphones on as I type.

So....HERE'S TO THE SEAGULL IN EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US.

I read it in the mid 70s. Twas by Richard Bach. It was a huge
success in the US and that's what made me see what it was all
about. I don't think it's strange all of us knowing it, as it is a
very famous story.
And yes, the seagulls on Lorraine's page do remind me of the story.
And Goaty - I adore neil Diamond too.

I read it many, many moons ago, beacuse as Steph says, it was very popular in America.

Love the journal, Lorraine. It is absolutely exquisitely bound. Stunning!

I could never share my pages with anyone though, because they are so personal to me.

No, well there'll be a few I wont share either, Bobs, I'm pretty sure of that, but as there's no journaling on these, it doesn't really matter at the mo. Smile

This is fabulous Lorraine, look forward to seeing it IRL!
