I don't hate them or have a phobia, I just don't really 'get' them, panic not girls, as I say they look ok on other people's work, was just teasing Patty.
I'm baffled myself over this really as I've happily used a zip and no manner of things odd, I do find them more acceptable with thread through. That LOVE thing I did with buttons was all a bit of a joke, although I did think she'd like it, the lady it was for had sent me loads of buttons for my birthday. I got my own back by sending her lots.

I'm actually using more and more buttons now. I didn't used to 'get them' either Karelyn, but they're growing on me...but...I think that's because we see so many in blog land. If an old lady, for instance, that doesn't use the internet got a card with buttons stuck on, she'd probably wonder what the heck it was all about, lol.

Ooo I now I like using buttons, both on cards and jewellry, used one as a fastener with a loop last week. But I agree i think they look nicer with a bit of thread or ribbon tied thru it before sticking it down.

Its like eyelets and brads, I have loads of them, but hate putting them on a card because I am convinced the card will just be thrown away after the occasion and what!!! a waste of embellies. LOL

I just love buttons, so you will probably get something someday with them on, Karelyn! It just worked out that the three flowers I did looked best with brads in.

I like buttons more and more. I think a couple on a card can put
the finishing touch.

Funny how things come up, isn't it. Have just received an eBay package - a collection of Mother of Pearl buttons - and just read the latest Split Coast Stampers weekly Inklings e-mail, where the card challenge was to use buttons!

That's a good idea, Karelyn - or maybe we should have a swap one month entitled "Things I've got but that I really can't work out how to use effectively"! On second thoughts, that probably describes quite a lot of things in my stash!

Well my 3 gorgeous flowers have arrived today and one of them is already being put too good use!!!

All here, safe and gorgeous and untouched by the rabbit who was confined to the downstairs today as I didn't want him chewing this envie!
