ok i will ease you into this gently folks ... affraid

the first one is a simple 3 colour combination , on whatever you decide to do , lo , card , atc , altered piece ,
you must use black , white and red

so get going , create your masterpieces and put them in this thread when you have done them , no timescale just do it when you feel you can do or have the time .

Ooh Kim, made a black & white card with my ladies at class last week. Now wonder if i can find a way of just adding some red to it and I'd be done !!

oooh this is smashing to come back in to... ive been on the vino up the road and am a bit squiffy but Ive come back and had to check my fave forum before bed and i see there is a challenge up. yipeeee.

I hadn't scrapped this photo because it is very large and thought
it would be difficult to embellish. I didn't want to cut it down too
much.
It is a photo in the late 1930s of my paternal grandparents in
Cornwall.
I decided these challenges from Kim are going to get me scrapping
on a regular basis and am pleased with my first effort.

I take it we post them in this thread and not in the layouts gallery??? perhaps someone can move it for me if Ive done it wrong....

I normally avoid black and white and this is the ONLY black and white photo I have, but Im really pleased with this so thanks Kim.

Well Steph and Maria, you have both done lovely layouts. Love the photo of Whisper Mia and love the way you have done your layout Steph - so good to see more crafting. Will give it a go tonight once I have got Ken into bed (if I can keep my eyes open!!)

love it maria and so nice that you have ..
a) used a pic you have not scrapped before cos you dont like black and white
b) used a colour scheme you dont normally use
c) joined in the challenge

im sure thats the papaer i have sorted out for this challenge , it looks familiar ...just got to sort out my black and white pic now

thank you girls. The swirl is a fancy pants chipboard one, came in a pack and I used 'cardinal' teardrop ink on it and then uteee's it.

Maria - gorgeous LO. I love it, especially the swirls. I think these
challenges are going to be great and push our boundaries. Can't wait
for the next one. I find that if you have a set of guidelines to work to
in some ways it makes it easier, well not easier, but better defined as
to what you can do.

When Kim gave us the challenge I wasn't sure if we had to use
a b&w photo, but then it needed to be to keep within the
guidelines. Got a few more b&w but the one I scrapped was the
one that was 'hanging around' and I am pleased I have finally
'dealt with it.'
