Paper Set Empty Paper Set

Post by Lorraine Thu 10 Jun 2010 - 18:48

This is my first attempt at designing. 8 papers and 4 matching toppers. What do you think? Be honest 'cause I'm not going to waste my time if I'm rubbish. I know a lot of you wouldn't touch this with somebody else's bargepole (neither would I, lol) but do you think some people WOULD like it?

Wel I think they are lovely, nice colours and the swirly and dotty backings could be used for lots of other things besides christmas. The snowflakes are really pretty.

I agree with Di, they are better than some of the sets they give away with the mags in fact.

Helen will like the snowmen.
The snowflakes are some of the nicest I've seen and if we ever got any snow I might use them, the dotty one is very usable. I think I'd like to see a darker shade creeping in too, (or more of the brown) or you're in danger of being a bit papermaniary.
Yes, Most aceptable.

Thanks, girls.
Karelyn, I never even thought of putting more brown in, but I doubt I'll be doing too many cutesy one's like this anyway. It was just something easy to start with.

Thanks, Kim. Good idea. People could actually cut the hat and scarf out from a couple of prints but I've been in and done it, so the set will come with a couple of decoupage pieces as well now. Mr Green

Love the torquoise ones, can't see the pink very well and not very christmassy pink, like Karelyns idea off browny ones, the backround ones could be any colour.

Nope not mine, Sue, lol.
If you like something, you just put it in your cart, pay and then download from the link that is given to you when you've paid. Easy peasy. Then you just print off what you want as many times as you want.
Maintenance is finished now too, hun.

Unfortunately, they don't link your name with other work, so if you go down the page to the Designer box on the left hand side and scroll down to my name, it will take you to anything else I've got. I've only done 4 sets so far, but am working on more.

If you like downloads though, there are hundreds or really good ones there.

I knew Helen would like the snowmen ones.

Steph wrote:Gosh - you clever thing. How do you start designing papers ?
I'm not really sure I know how to answer that, Steph. I just see a pattern or a royalty free for commercial use graphic and it goes from there.
I open photoshop and play around with colours and stuff. Then I create my own pattern tile which I can multiply to fill the sheet.
Once I get started, it doesn't take too long either. I uploaded a peachy coloured set yesterday and am working on something else now.
This link HERE is to my page and should have everything I've done or will do on it.

I've seen your other papers and they are great. Love the old fashioned type.
Something else I'll have to puton my list to have a go out. Very satisfying
to design your own.

well any of them, they were all fab - like the altered sauce bottles or something and the vector ladies would have to be in the vector to work and just sort of repeat.
