Paper Bag Book Empty Paper Bag Book

Post by lyndaejane Sun 22 Jun 2014 - 16:23

This is the paper bag book I made to say thankyou to the e-friend who sent me a load of stash:

Paper Bag Book Tesspa10

Front cover and the two tags which were inside the bag 'pockets'.

Paper Bag Book Tesspa10

Pages 1 and 2

Paper Bag Book Tesspa11

Pages 3 and 4

Paper Bag Book Tesspa12

Pages 5 and 6

Made from two prescription bags, various recycled bits and pieces, of course.  Papers are Bo Bunny Etcetera, MME Kraft Funday, Prima Engraver and one with no maker's name.

Have a load of farthings, so use them on vintage projects - or a special birthday card, if I have one dated the year the person was born.

Thanks for correcting the orientation, Lorraine.

She did like it: strangely enough, she was writing me an e-mail when the postie came yesterday - put ******** S T O P P R E S S ******** in the e-mail before saying it had just arrived!

Sorry Ruth, no, you know what they are, I never used one, but know what they are, kids now look at you 'gone out' when you talk about ha'pennies let alone farthings.

I have a few sixpences, Cath, including some of the very old silver ones. Think I have one threepence, some pennies and halfpennies and the odd two shillings and half a crown. I guess they'll all get used one day!

The decimal halfpennies are also a good one to use for special birthdays, as there's more people about who were born in those years.

Lovely Lynda, now onder she liked it. LOL at you all remembeing the old coins. I have a few that were what my Granny used to give us and when we had totaling a £1 we swaped them back to her for sweets or she would put a pound note into saving's for us to spend if we wanted something like a ball or hair band. We did jobs for the coins I'm trying to remember if they were out of use or not at the time.
