Re: Bev's Zentangle
See if this will work...
I've been doing them a long time now - they look complicated but are just made up one stroke at a time like any other.

Very nice Bev - I found it great fun. I actually had a small focus
object in each of mine - forgot to take photos before I sent to Tina
so maybe she will do photos when the time comes.

Wow! That is gorgeous! Do you find you do the same patterns more often than others? I definitely have a couple of 'favourites' now.
Yes, Steph, will take piccies, don't worry.

No, I'm not putting my 'to do' list here, that would be far to organised, PLUS I would have to keep it up to date
Re: Bev's Zentangle
what size was that bev, it all looks very intricate. Mine are just big blocks of stuff.

Re: Bev's Zentangle
Yes, I do have favourites... though they change over time. Very fond of the stripy 'tubes'. I like organic looking ones best.
That one was... hang on... 15cm x 17cm. Just torn up pieces of watercolour paper. My newest ones haven't been as big as that.
They do look intricate but I start with wavy double lined 'grids', which then have spaces between them. I fill the spaces and then fill the gridlines and then add shading afterwards. It's all built up in stages - I certainly have no idea how they will turn out before I start.
You can see how simple each 'tangle' (pattern) is.
Be very, very careful... once you start, you'll be addicted

That's a brilliant one, Bev. Wow! Love it.
I've split Tina's thread and put this in one of your own, hun. We usually have our own threads when we post our work. Makes it easier to find things too if we want to go back for reference at any time (like I will with this so's I can copy you).

Why don't you join in Patty ? I just had a look and Tina hasn't
got a 'sign up' by date, just that they have to be in by 25th Sept.
It's only the 8th today, so loads of time.

Re: Bev's Zentangle
It's great. Lots to look at there.
Are they always black? I can see that one colour works best but brown might be nice,or something else. Navy blue,

I saw some coloured ones on the internet - some quite bright, but I think Tina
started us with the b&w.

Re: Bev's Zentangle
I think they are 'supposed' to be b+w, but how can you make rules with doodling? LOL.
I said b+w for the swap to keep it simple....but received a fab one from someone (not one of 'us') today and it had pink on it!

Ah, but have you really tried Ruth. Just get an ATC piece of white
card and have a go. It's great thinking of patterns and filling the spaces.
