Die-cutting machines.....
Okay, I have a Cricut and love it....but it doesn't emboss. I know a lot of you use Nestabilities...my question is which is the smallest (for that read 'cheapest') machine that you can put nesties through? Is it worth buying a really small cheap one anyway?
Father C******as will be asking for a list soon, and I don't have a clue what to put on it at the moment! (and if it's more than £50 I may as well not ask anyway ).

Re: Die-cutting machines.....
Hmm, thanks for your replies girls.
I think it may be a non-starter, having looked at the price of Cuttlebugs ........we have agreed with our family and friends that there will be no presents this year (other than for the girls), and our budget for presents for each other is really strict.
Oh well, better start saving!

Re: Die-cutting machines.....
Thanks Emma...but our budget is £50 max.
I'll have to push the bead sales a bit in the new year (or just ask for glass for Christmas, I can do more with that than the Cuttlebug ).

If just for embossing I love my new 'Boutique', it give really great impressions and so easy to put through, no pressure, only downside for me is it only takes folders., and only £24.

I have the old type Sizzix machine which is fine for some things,
have owned a Big Shot which I sold, and currently have the
Cuttlebug. I have used it for cutting photos for the wedding
album and it great for them.

I hesitate to mention it on here, but they are often selling them in The Market Place over the road. Worth a look.

Re: Die-cutting machines.....
The Cuttlebug can be bought for around £55 in a lot of places Tina, worth it if you can afford it.

....but that would mean I am over the strict £50 budget, and get nothing else at all for C***mas. I think I'll wait (but keep an eye out 'over the road' ).

One of the ladies in my craft class used her pasta maker for the free embossing folder that was in a recent mag and it worked! Have only got the Sizzix sidekick myself.

Thanks Jane, the only trouble is that I would need to pre-plan my crafting , not one of my strong points! It tends to be 'when I can fit it in around everything else'

Re: Die-cutting machines.....
On Create and Craft this morning they had a Cuttlebug for sale.
It is an expensive one - a limited edition (white and dark pink)
and is nearly £100 but you can have it on 4 easy payments.
Just a thought if anyone was desperate for one.

Re: Die-cutting machines.....
Thanks Jane, but as I said in an earlier post, if I spend £50, I get nothing else, and I don't need one that much IYSWIM.
I would imagine if you put it on feebay you'll get more than £50 for it.

Re: Die-cutting machines.....
I now have a C****mas present sorted
Actually Jane, you may not get as much as I thought; there is a seller on Amazon selling brand new Big Shot machines for £53.50!!! Maybe selling it via UKS is the way to go? (or feebay and set a high reserve?).

Re: Die-cutting machines.....
I'm glad you've got something, hun.
Now, go to Cutting Edge Crafts for your nesties, embossing folders and such. The cheapest around, free postage and fast delivery.
Well, you might get your nesties for £16.99 in other places, but probably not free postage.
