Ummmmm - I can't remember what they're called, Suzy. They are magnifying glasses (obviously) and they come with three pairs of lens of difering magnification.
I got mine from QVC a couple of years ago.

do they have a light on as the look like they do.

Yeah, they have a light on, but it doesn't really send out a very strong beam.

They might look ugly, but oh, they come in handy sometimes.
