Re: THE LAST WORD...
My husband loves it, especially as he despairs at the gadgets that I buy and are usually not up to much.
This one is super . I don't know how we would manage without it now.
Just got my 1st 6 (games done with my name on each) of the day.
back again later.

Re: THE LAST WORD...
Just seen the price of them and I'm afraid that I am not going to bother tell Dave I want one. He would hate to spend that much on a kettle and only boils as much as he needs in the kettle anyway.

Re: THE LAST WORD...
My DH thought it was too expensive but now admits we couldn't be without it.

Re: THE LAST WORD...
I sometimes think the outlay works out for itself. I realised another use tonight. I occasionally make for the other two, Smash. Its so quick and easy.
A friend came to visit not long after we got ours and she liked it so much, esp as their lodger drinks a lot, she went all over town to find on. She got one in one shop then found out it was on offer in another, took the first back and got the second !!!!

Re: THE LAST WORD...
Karin, your friend sounds like me when I'm shopping.
I bough 2 (large) boxes of washing powder washing powder in one super market but when I went to the Co-op on the way home they had the same product £2 cheaper; so I took the first 2 back and ended up a lot better off.
I only bought my Quick-Cup after a friend came to visit me and told me about hers. She knows I like gadgets but this one is the second best gadget I have had throughout the years.
This post has made my 1st time on the 6 games today, I'm now waiting for Goaty's return to 'EYE SPY'

Re: THE LAST WORD...
Misty, awe that bloomiong ant-avitar of yours, times I go to swipe it of my screen.
My 2nd fav gadet is a plastic V Slicer with 3 different sets of blades. I have worn one out (orange in colour; about 30 years old) and am now on my 2nd one. Easy to use, easy to wash up and NO electric or batteries needed. It really ought to qualify as 1st because of that but I am sure the Quick-Cup will save money in the long run
My 3rd Fav gadget is my Bamix, now 25 years old and still going strong. It's similar to Karin's blender stick.
And this post makes my 1st completed 6 games of the day

I too have the V slicer. I used to have the JML orange one then it broke round the blade. We bought another one but it wasn't quite as good. Then my wonderful hubby got me a Borner the original makers. Its brilliant, so sharp though. I love it.
I also have the Nicer Dicer so I can slicer, or dice with my gadgets.

No anything to do with crafting I regard as my 'grow-up' toys so therefore they don't qualify, but I love all of them and I have a lot !
My favourite gadgets have to save either money or time and 'crafting' stuff does neither.

I can do that with a knife.karinlouise wrote:

Re: THE LAST WORD...
I treated myself to a Mincer at Christmas, an electric one. My old wind the handle job had given up the ghost 'cause it's rubber bottom had perished.
I wish I had bought one years ago. Super real beefburgers and lamb burgers now. And I take the fat out before mincing as we have high cholesteral but we know what's in these.
I bought some 'butchers rusk today and they turned out even better. I minced the onion through with the meat. No more chopping. I might try Chicken or turkey bergers next.

Re: THE LAST WORD...
Of course you can, (£58.50 from John Lewis, it\'s a Moulinex)
http://www.johnlewis.com/230200611/Product.aspx
I class it as a luxury but we certainly will have super dinners from now on. And I can get the offers on most cuts of beef when they are available
Just got my 6 back Misty

Re: THE LAST WORD...
~Doesn't sound too bad, especially if you get the use out of it. Will have a look at the link in a min. Love coarse mince and have asked at all the butchers round here but they keep saying that they don't have the right blades. Some people round here like it like sausage meat
I love making chicken burgers with leftover cold chicken, nice and healthy too.
Right I am off for now so you can go get your "6"

Re: THE LAST WORD...
Well this mincer has 2 blades/holes and I have only used the coarse one so far. And it is so easy to cleas, wash and dry it. No twiddly small collars like the old hand ones had.

Re: THE LAST WORD...
LOL at lorraine. Yep I still use a knife too, they are another obsession I have a different knife for practically everything. But its much quicker with the gadgets. If making chips for instance, I peel spuds (sometimes dont) and can have a pan of chips in less than a minute.
BOO to you too Di

Re: THE LAST WORD...
I just love gadgets but they do take a lot more cleaning than a knife so they have to be good to make up for that drawback..

My favourite gadget at the moment is this new laptop that I am replying on. It's
lovely and of course, the beauty is that I can sit at the table with it, not sit in the
corner with my desktop computer.
