Kim, if you want to give out your bank details, it would be easiest for me too, but don't feel pressured to do so.
It is very easy though. Mr Green

ditto what the others have said. I use transfers for money to my 'Park voucher' friend, though I have now set up SO. But last year each month I just paid by bank transfer. Also pay my sister when I need to send birthday money.

I will send cheque though, cos I need to put cash into the bank first, so might as well post cheque the same day. Is it just payable to your name hun xx

I expect you all saw it on the news before Christmas - cheques are going to be
phased out over the next 9 years. I use them for subs etc, and will be difficult to
adjust without them, but I knew it would happen one day. In most cases it
will be up to the recipient to arrange something else.

Also it's safer if Lou does cross her PO and make it payable to you, Kim: no problem there as you can pay it into your bank account. If it goes astray without being crossed, anyone can cash it.

I knoww hat you mean but most post does not go astray though does it lynda ,id prefer uncrossed .
steph , i saw that on the news about cheques but they also said they have to find something to replace them before they can phase them out . They mentioned ppl that we have to the house etc like plumbers ,haridressers etc they do not have access to machines for cards and ppl dont always have ready cash ,i know my hairdresser does not like cash because she spends it ,if she has a chq then it goes to her account , so i wonder what they will come up with .

Post by thriftycrafter Thu 7 Jan 2010 - 17:05

Thanks Kim, still dense
From what I can see it comes to about £19 or £22.50 plus £3.75, for tea & coffe plus £7.50 for a different tea & coffee in the food etc list so that's about £30.25 or about £32.75 depending on how many go, so I think I'll just send a cheque for about £33.00 and that should do it?
We pay for meals separately, yes?

THanks Kim, I just assumed you'd say a figure when it was needed, I'd rounded the whole thing in my head that I would want about £150 in total, but that I would need spending money come the time. it was easier that way. With my workshops and the craft day I did, I've already paid for it, so I am a very very happy bunny. Not a big drinker, but I will have the odd one. Mr Green or two

Another option would be Cath if Gary drove us both down, would save putting Tom on your insurance and help us out with petrol there and back again (not the trips in between). But I dont know what car Gary will have in April, doesnt look like he's gonna have his nice ford rental for too much longer!

Post by karinlouise Sat 9 Jan 2010 - 19:00

Ok I think I'm being a bit dense and to be honest right now thats probably true...but............

All the swaps but mainly the Photo/LO swap. These are voluntary aren't they. I know the Twinchie one isn't and thats fine. But the others, card kits and Photo one are they 'only if you want to' type. I am not good at scraping pics and I would worry immensley about it. I presume the pictures are handed over and taken home to do, cos we won't necessarily have the stuff with us to match. Is that how it works. Or when you hand photo over do you also hand over the stuff you want it made from and the other person puts it all together over the weekend !!!

Sorry I know I'm daft.
