Re: MINI POCKET BOOK SWAP - Jan 2010
Right, they're all packed up and ready to go.
Patty's will be posted next Wednesday, at her request. I will pm the person who did that one so's you don't worry that it's lost in the post.
Jane, I have put your £5 back in your envi. It really was too much to send, hun. I did mean to put some extra stamps back in the envi's for those of you who had sent them...but I forgot. I did use them for a couple that didn't have postage though.

Good. Though I think I probably put right amount in from my point of view, if you are the one hosting all these swaps then the postage will just carry over to the next one. thanks again for hosting hun, can't wait to see which one I get

Re: MINI POCKET BOOK SWAP - Jan 2010
As it turns out, some of them didn't go through the large letter slot, so they had to be posted Packet rates!!!!! I was even more grateful for some of the extra's you sent, girls. Not that I wouldn't have paid all of it, I would of course, but I just think the PO is taking the pee now.
I'm going to put the pics up and then you'll have to wait and see which you get.

Re: MINI POCKET BOOK SWAP - Jan 2010
I always assume these days that things are packet rate, as you just never know. The item has to go through smoothly and no forcing.
There are some fabulous creations there, and I really can't wait to see what I get. Bet you had an awful job of trying to decide who gets what. Thanks for hosting Lorraine, and for all that you do for us. We'd be lost without you and this site. xxxx

Re: MINI POCKET BOOK SWAP - Jan 2010
It's like birthday cards. You used to be able to send them first or second, but nowadays they need do go as large letter whuich is 47p at the moment and will go up in April.
It's not cheap to send any more.

Oh I agree - I never begrudge it Kim. I love getting a pile of post ready -
normally a mixture crafty things and competitions. I budget for stamps each
month because I need so many.

Re: MINI POCKET BOOK SWAP - Jan 2010
Sorry I don't have time to post individually, girls, but I loved ALL your books. I really, really wanted to go in for this swap, but it was just impossible with most of my stuff still in boxes. Just have to hope there's another one!

I totally agree. I was so chuffed that so many joined in and the books are fabulous. I had a real good look at all of them (of course, lol) and I think you all excelled yourselves.kimb wrote:

A perk of being 'King Cat', lol. Now you know why I like to host a swap rather than partner to partner. I have a hidden agenda.Di Masters wrote:Lucky you getting to see them for real Lou!

lou i appreciate that you felt it was too much, but i sent the £5 to be safe than sorry so you wouldn't have to put any extra in since i wasn't sure with the thickness of my book and the extras. i also wanted you to keep any leftover in case you didn't have enough from someone else. you never know until you get to the post office.
i will make it up to you at the retreat. i will buy you a special drink.
thanks for your hard work.

Re: MINI POCKET BOOK SWAP - Jan 2010
Phew - exhausted. Went upstairs to look for soemthing and ended up
sorting by two bookcases out as I had stuff piled everywhere. Now is much
more tidy and manageable. I have my own rule, that everything has to earn
its place on a bookshelf or cupboard space, so with this in mind, managed
to be rid of a few things.
Postie now been yet - was hoping my mini book might arrive

Mine has arrived Thank you Kim for your purple lush book and Lou for holding the swap
Re: MINI POCKET BOOK SWAP - Jan 2010
way hey
I think I got the wrong end of the stick a bit on this one too as I thought I had to put something different in each pocket and felt bad putting similar things in some, derr. One day I'll get it really right.

No, I'm not putting my 'to do' list here, that would be far to organised, PLUS I would have to keep it up to date
